Getting started
What is Moithuti?
Moithuti is an adaptive learning platform built for Botswana's education system. We provide AI-powered personalised learning, teaching tools and resources for students, teachers and schools, aligned with BGCSE and IGCSE.
How do I create an account?
Click “Start free” on the homepage, choose whether you're a student, teacher or parent, and fill in your details. Verify your email and phone number to finish.
Is Moithuti free to use?
Yes — a free plan includes Thuto AI, system resources and the basics. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited AI, study planning and messaging: P20/month for students or P15/month for teachers.
For students
What grades does Moithuti support?
From Grade 1 through Form 5 — both primary and secondary — with content aligned to the BGCSE and IGCSE curricula.
How does Thuto AI help me learn?
Thuto is your personal AI tutor that adapts to how you learn. It explains concepts, answers questions, sets practice and gives step-by-step guidance — and gets better the more you use it.
Can I access materials offline?
Our mobile apps are coming soon and will allow offline downloads. For now, Moithuti works on any device through your web browser.
How do I join a class?
Your teacher gives you a class code or invite link — enter the code or click the link to join instantly.
For teachers
How do I create a class?
From your dashboard, click “Create class”, add your subjects, and share the generated code with students. You can run multiple classes from one account.
Can I upload my own materials?
Absolutely — upload documents, slides, videos and resources, all organised by class and subject for easy access.
How does grading work?
Quizzes and assignments can be auto-graded, and you can grade manually and leave feedback. Grades record automatically and are visible to students and guardians.
Can I track individual progress?
Yes — detailed analytics per student cover quiz performance, completion, participation and where they need extra support.
Technical & account
What devices can I use?
Any device with a web browser — computer, laptop, tablet or phone. Dedicated iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
How do I reset my password?
Click “Forgot password” on the login page, enter your email, and we'll send a secure code to reset it.
Is my data secure?
Yes — data is encrypted in transit and at rest, we follow international data-protection standards, and we never sell your personal information.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings → Security & Privacy → Delete account. This is permanent and removes all your data.
Billing & subscriptions
How much does Moithuti cost?
A free plan with the essentials, and affordable Pro plans for students and teachers. Schools can contact us for institutional pricing.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cards and mobile money (Orange Money, MyZaka). Schools can also pay by invoice.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel from your account settings at any time. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions. Not satisfied in the first 14 days? Contact us for a full refund.
